Delusion

The original thought is the “I” thought. With that thought the “Other” comes into existence and the “World “. Then it is constant striving to get acceptance from the world which never happens. That is the cause for all miseries and suffering.

The “I” thought is so strong, that even when locked up in a room and in Solitude where the “other” is non-existent, it occupies the complete mind space by creating the psychological “I” and the “other” and the “world “to torment itself. What else is it other than “delusion”? If we come to think of it, one is always delusional except in the state of deep sleep. The only difference is that this delusion has no outward expression unlike in the case of a mad man. But for the outward expression, it’s madness nevertheless in both cases.

The purpose of the “I” thought is to create a separate self and to isolate oneself from the “other” and the “world”. This builds the “Ego” which becomes such a powerful thought that it appropriates the power to expect the world to behave and conduct in a way that the “Ego I” is the centre of existence. This self-centred perspective further entrenches the delusion, perpetuating the cycle of suffering and dissatisfaction.
